Haven Street has recently reorganized for the purpose of leading children to appreciate community outreach. Our new business office is located at 214 SW 7th Ave. in Okeechobee. For more information about us, please contact Gary Schreck at gary@havenstreet.org.

The mission of Haven Street is to meet some of the emotional, spiritual, educational, and social needs of the Okeechobee community. This includes striving to instill in children and teens an appreciation for the value and rewards of serving others. It also includes praying for members of the community through the Okeechobee Community Prayer Outreach, which can be offered by both children and adults, providing a valuable spiritual service to the community. We use the Bible-based principles and morals found in Holy Scripture in an effort to develop overall godly character in the children, as well as provide spiritual education to the community.

Haven Street is formerly registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, however we are not currently soliciting contributions. If we decide to renew our registration, our Registration # is: CH42031 "A COPY OF THE OFFICIAL REGISTRATION AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE DIVISION OF CONSUMER SERVICES BY CALLING TOLL-FREE (800) 435-7352 WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA, OR BY CALLING (850) 410-3800 FROM OUTSIDE THE STATE. REGISTRATION DOES NOT IMPLY ENDORSEMENT, APPROVAL, OR RECOMMENDATION BY THE STATE."

Haven Street - Teaching Children About Serving Others is operated by Haven Street, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax exempt Florida corporation.

Why us?

At Haven Street, we truly love children. It is our desire to listen to them, help them, and guide them through anything they may be going through. We realize that, although a problem may seem small to us, it is always big to a kid or a teen. That's why they brought it to our attention. As we reorganize, we want to keep this in mind. We want to reach out into the community with the same heart attitude that we have been demonstrating over the past two years at our drop-in center. Working with some of the children that we've developed relationships with, as well as children that we meet in our new mission, we hope to be meeting the needs of many families in Okeechobee.
